Description
Description
Calathea Lancifolia, commonly known as the Rattlesnake Plant, is a striking tropical houseplant with distinctive foliage. This Calathea variety is known for its elongated, lance-shaped leaves and unique patterning. Calathea lancifolia features long, lance-shaped leaves with a rich, dark green background and alternating bands of lighter green or silvery-white stripes. The stripes resemble the pattern on a rattlesnake's skin, which gives the plant its common name.

CARE TIPS
Light: Provide bright, indirect light for your Rattlesnake Plant. It thrives in medium to low light conditions, but avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves. Too much direct sun can fade the attractive patterns on the foliage.
Temperature: Maintain a consistent temperature range between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). Avoid sudden temperature drops and drafts, as Calathea lancifolia prefers stable conditions.
Humidity: This plant is native to tropical regions and appreciates high humidity levels. To increase humidity, use a humidity tray, a room humidifier, or mist the plant regularly. Brown leaf edges can be a sign of low humidity.
Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, typically every 1-2 weeks. Use lukewarm, filtered water to avoid shocking the plant with cold or chlorinated water.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture. A mix designed for tropical or peat-loving plants is suitable.
