Description

Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' Plant in a Nursery Pot - Monstera Dilacerata - Rare Plant - SAME PLANT as images

The most special thing about this plant are its leaves, which start out as a drop shape and look like dancing flames when they mature. Furthermore, its leaves are so firm that they can feel like cardboard. Because of the gaps between its leaf sheaths, its leaves bear some resemblance to a rib cage.

The unique Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' is named after its leaf shape and Roberto Burle Marx. This landscape architect and plant collector owned the original specimen.

WHAT DO YOU RECEIVE: SAME EXACT potted plant.

CARE:
Light:
Provide bright, indirect light for your Monstera Burle Marx Flame. While it appreciates bright conditions, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate variegated leaves. Filtered or diffused light is ideal.

2. Temperature:
Maintain a temperature range of 65-85°F (18-29°C). This range is generally comfortable for most indoor environments and will help prevent the plant from experiencing temperature stress.

3. Watering:
Allow the top inch or two of the soil to dry out before watering. Water thoroughly when you do water, ensuring that excess water can drain away. Monsteras prefer slightly drier conditions compared to consistently moist soil.

4. Humidity:
Maintain higher humidity levels to support the health and appearance of the variegated leaves. You can achieve this by misting the plant, using a humidity tray, or placing it in a more humid environment.

5. Soil:
Use a well-draining potting mix designed for aroids or tropical plants. Good drainage is essential to prevent waterlogged roots and potential root rot.

6. Fertilization:
During the growing season (spring and summer), feed your Monstera Burle Marx Flame with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks. Dilute the fertilizer to half or a quarter of the recommended strength to prevent over-fertilization. Reduce or halt fertilization in the fall and winter.

NOTE: We prioritize the well-being of your plants throughout the delivery process, ensuring meticulous care from packaging to shipment. We promptly notify you once your package is dispatched and vigilantly monitor weather conditions. In the event of any delays necessitated by weather, we keep you informed. If your plant arrives with any damage, rest assured that we're here for you; simply reach out to us, and our dedicated team will provide assistance within 24 hours.
