Furthermore, its leaves are so firm that they can feel like cardboard. Because of the gaps between its leaf sheaths, its leaves bear some resemblance to a rib cage.

The unique Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' is named after its leaf shape and Roberto Burle Marx. This landscape architect and plant collector owned the original specimen.

Light:
