Description
Anthurium, commonly known as the Flamingo Flower or Laceleaf, is a popular flowering houseplant known for its vibrant, heart-shaped spathes and glossy green leaves. Anthuriums are prized for their unique, colorful spathes, which are often heart-shaped and come in various shades, including red, pink, white, and even green. The spathe is a modified leaf that surrounds the true flowers, which are small and found on a central spike called a spadix.

CARE
Light: Provide bright, indirect light for your Anthurium. It thrives in medium to bright, indirect light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Temperature: Maintain a temperature range between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C) for optimal growth. Protect the plant from drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.
Humidity: Anthuriums appreciate higher humidity levels. Aim for a humidity level of at least 60% if possible. You can increase humidity by misting the plant, using a humidity tray, or employing a room humidifier.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch or so of the soil feels slightly dry. Ensure proper drainage in the pot to prevent overwatering and root rot.
Soil: Use a well-draining, aerated potting mix designed for tropical or aroid plants. Adding perlite or orchid bark to the mix can help improve drainage.
