Description

ABOUT THIS PLANT:
The Pinstripe Calathea (Calathea Ornata) is a beautiful indoor plant with striking foliage. The leaves are deep green with thin pink or white stripes that run perpendicular to the central vein. The undersides of the leaves are a soft pink color, adding to its unique beauty.

The Pinstripe Calathea is not only aesthetically pleasing but it also has air-purifying qualities, making it a great addition to any indoor space. It is also non-toxic to pets and humans, making it a safe choice for those with pets or small children.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE:
You will receive established plant in 3" pot. The plant size and appearance may vary due to the wonders of nature, but guaranteed beautiful nonetheless.

LIGHT: Keep your calathea out of direct sun, as too much light can burn the leaves and cause their vibrant patterns to fade. It is helpful to rotate your plant, so sun hits it evenly.

WATER: Calatheas like a lot of water, but they don't want to be waterlogged.

SOIL: Calatheas prefer a loamy or humusy soil that's rich in organic matter. A slightly acidic to neutral soil pH is best.

TEMPERATURE:Calathea plants thrive when kept at temperatures ranging from 70 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. They can tolerate a drop down to 60 degrees Fahrenheit but no lower.
You also can place the plant's container on a tray filled with water and pebbles, ensuring that the bottom of the container isn't touching the water.

FERTILIZER:Treat your calathea once a month with a liquid balanced fertilizer at half strength throughout the spring, summer, and fall, following label instructions. Hold off on fertilizer in the winter months when the plant naturally grows less.
