Description

Bring home the rare Variegated Monstera Peru, a stunning air-purifying houseplant with unique variegated leaves. Perfect for adding a tropical touch to any space, it comes in a 4" pot, ready to thrive in your indoor garden.

What You Get: You will get the same plant that is on the images.

Care:
Put the cuttings in water, once the roots are an inch which takes about 3 to 4 weeks, plant them is soil.

It’s beautiful to watch the cuttings grow roots and turn into full grown plants.

Helps to purify the air indoors and adds to indoor Zen.

NOTE: Some shipping stress is always possible when shipping live plants, which can possibly cause yellowing of some leaves and/or minor drooping which will perk up after it gets some water, fresh air, and indirect sunshine.

Double check your address before finalizing you order.

LIGHT:
A north-facing window is ideal for a Monsters Peru to thrive since it needs indirect sunlight. If direct sunlight hits the leaves, they will burn with scorch marks. You can also expose the plant to morning sunlight for 2-3 hours for the best growth.

Monstera karstenianum can handle some direct morning light. But it will burn if left in direct contact with the sun’s rays. It will also tolerate lower light conditions. However, too little sun will cause the plant to grow more slowly or become leggy.

WATER:
Peru loves constantly moist soil, so never let the growing medium dry out completely. The topsoil should always be a little wet to touch – water the plant the moment it gets dry. Also, avoid watering the plant unnecessarily as it will invite root rot.

TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY:
Temperatures below 65 degrees Fahrenheit may stunt this plant’s growth. If temperatures drop below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the plant may stop growing or die.

The perfect temperature would be between 65F (18C) and 80F (27C). Colder temperatures will lead to the plant getting frostbite and show signs of wilting.

FERTILIZATION:
Feed the plant once in 4-6 weeks using a slow-releasing fertilizer. Do follow the instructions on the label. This plant does not need to be fertilized during the colder months of autumn and winter.

SOIL:
A well-draining and rich growing medium is what you need to ensure your plant stays healthy all the time. Mix equal amounts of compost, perlite, sand, and vermiculite to make your own growing medium. You can also add a bit of peat moss and shredded bark to the mix.

RE-POTTING:
With Monstera Peru, always ensure you re-pot it only when necessary. Do this process every 2-3 years or when the plant has become too big for the planter.
Always remember to transfer it to only one size bigger pot. If the pot is too big, then the extra space can stress out your Peru.

Weather Damages:
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for weather damages unless you purchased a heat pack at the time of your order. During colder months, we recommend buying a heat pack for all orders from November 1st as the plant might not survive without the heat pack.
